We are extremely excited to get to play with one of our favorite bands we’ve ever crossed paths with before!  Rev. Peyton’s Big Damn Band have absolutely electric energy onstage and there are a number of things to be impressed by when it comes to these guys. The first time we played with them was also in Cleveland, at the Grog Shop. We had a different set up back then, often employing a washboard player for most every show. For that particular show, we had our friend Johnny Habu of Johnny Habu & The Rebel Salmon and he is quite the performer himself. Occasionally Johnny Habu’s clothes go missing while he plays, so sporting just a duct tape G string, he played our wild set with us. We encouraged Breezy of The Big Damn Band to take part in our naked washboard player event, but she politely declined.

These guys are tons of fun and you won’t want to miss them! Plus we’ll have the full honky tonkin set up for The Apple Stompers that night and we think you’ll love the way it sounds in the great room of the Beachland Ballroom. Rockabilly band, The Troments, will open the show and then we will take the stage after that. Then you’ll get a big dose of awesome from the Rev and company!  You’ll love the incredible guitar work and if we’re all lucky, maybe some special guest will show up with them! Who knows?! When I saw them in Nashville a couple years back, my favorite banjo player, Rob McCoury of The Del McCoury Band, showed up and played with them. So cool! It’s bound to be an awesome show no matter what! See ya there!
